February is...

... National Snack Food Month??

No thank you, I like my body just the way it is. Chemical-free and not promoting a highly wasteful, unhealthy eating style. Read more at 20ate.org.

Instead, take the pledge to go vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, or reductarian this month! Make February Veguary! There are so many reasons to at least try out a new lifestyle; health, ethics, the environment... After one month you can go back to whatever you're doing, however you're eating, but for now, it's only one month!

Just something to consider as all the facts keep piling up:

Since the introduction of chemicals and additives into our food supply twenty years ago, there has been a dramatic increase in the rates of allergies, asthma, autism and ADHD:

400% increase in allergies,

300% increase in asthma,

400% increase in ADHD

and an increase of between 1,500 and 6,000% in the number of children with autism-spectrum disorders.

Here are some healthy, homemade snack ideas to try instead of that chemical-laden crap:
Or how about some cut up veggies and hummus?
Or fruit and peanut butter?

Happy Veguary!

  1. LOVE your ideas and concepts. I've been trying to reduce my carbon footpring for some time now. :)

I went on an all raw eating adventure in January. Now I'm eating *intuitively* for FEbruary but definitely notice an eating preference towards plant based foods!

Glad to see more people raising awareness!
